The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given approval to Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State to commence a degree programme in Law.

In a letter signed by the Commission’s Director of Academic Standards, Dr. G. B. Kumo and dated 22nd December, 2016, the approval was hinged on the resource evaluation visit to the University carried out by Panels of experts to the academic programme with a view to assessing the human and material resources available in the University for the establishment of the programme.

The approval is with effect from the current 2016/2017 Academic Session.

Suitably qualified candidates wishing to study Law are therefore advised to apply with immediate effect as application for admission would close before the end of January 2017.

2nd governing councilThe 2nd Governing Council of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State has been inaugurated. Speaking while inaugurating the Council, the Founder of the University, Chief Michael Ade.Ojo said that he was painstaking in selecting the members. He described them as people with passion for education who he believes would help him in achieving his vision for the University. 

Chief Ade.Ojo said that he established the University purposely to groom sound minds that would solve the developmental problem of the country. He added that the craze for overseas education by young Nigerians also prompted his decision to found the Institution.

Elizade University Engineering students attended the Agrofood Exhibition at the 2nd Trade Show on Agriculture and Food Seminar at Land Mark Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos.  All 60 students from our various Engineering courses including: Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical and Electronics, Computer, Civil and Information & Communication Technology, were overjoyed for the opportunity to explore Engineering in Agriculture.  The students were accompanied by Elizade’s Farm Officer, Mr. Adewumi Adejuwon who stated that “the program was a 3-day seminar in which the students were exposed to a wealth of information during their one day visit.  Students were privileged to speak with international agricultural professionals in the course of the event and were urged for consistencies and commitment in their academic endeavors by some of the facilitators.”

The Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Julius Okojie has urged Nigerian universities to prioritize research and innovation that would solve the developmental problem faced by the country.

Prof. Okojie gave the charge during his visit to Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State.

The NUC boss challenged universities in the country to dedicate a good time to the purpose of their establishment, which is to cater for the scientific and technological needs of the country.

It was fascinating to witness the diligence and perseverance of students cooking traditional dishes from the Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa Tribes. According to some of the judges, the food was delicious!




EUSSA (Elizade University Science Students Association) crowned 100L Computer Science Student, Ononogbo Kelechi, as Mr. EUSSA and 100L Biochemistry Student, Akinosun Olajumoke, as Miss. EUSSA.  The EUSSA was established in 2014 with the primary objective to promote personalities with sound moral and intellectual culture and social skills through positive interactions, information sharing and exposure to professional experiences in the area of sciences. 

Students of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State have been urged to make the most use of the Internship Programme of the Institution as the programme was introduced to give them work-based experience.

The Founder of the University, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo gave the advice while addressing the students during a session organized by the University to give the students Internship placement letters and log books as they prepare to proceed on a six- week internship in organizations relevant to their discipline.
