It was a celebration of an achiever and benefactor as staff and students of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State trooped out to honour the Founder of the University, Chief Michael Ade.Ojo on the occasion of his 77th birthday.

In an occasion that had in attendance dignitaries from all walks of life, staff and students of the University used unique ways to show appreciation to a man who has put in place a university that has been widely adjudged as a centre of excellence in architectural design and lay-out.

The training of the first batch of staff of Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) by Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin and Vigeo Power Academy, has ended.

The two-month training came to an end with high hope that the problems confronting the Company would be solved as the trainees have been equipped with the required skills that would make the Company a reference point among other electricity distribution companies in the Country.

The newly admitted students of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State have been charged to face their studies squarely and shun any act that could jeopardize their aspiration to acquire quality university education.


The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Kunle Oloyede gave the charge while speaking at the 4th Matriculation ceremony of the University.

Students of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State have been urged to make the most use of the Internship Programme of the Institution as the programme was introduced to give them work-based experience.

The Founder of the University, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo gave the advice while addressing the students during a session organized by the University to give the students Internship placement letters and log books as they prepare to proceed on a six- week internship in organizations relevant to their discipline.

Students of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo state have set a record of creating 1000 mobile applications in a day, the feat they achieved during a training programme organized by Build Window Africa.

Speaking at the programme, the Facilitator of the training, Mr. Aboluwarin Olaoluwa said that the idea of the training was to train the students on how to apply Information Communication Technology (ICT) to their field of study.

Mr. Aboluwarin revealed that the high standard ICT facilities in the University and the compliance of the students prompted the choice of the University.
