Elizade Varsity Community Celebrates Full Accreditation of Programmes

It was expression of gratitude when the Founder of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Chief Michael Ade.Ojo led members of staff of the University to give thanks to God for the granting of full accreditation to all the programmes visited by the Accreditation Teams of the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The University received full accreditation for all the eight programmes it started with three years ago.

Speaking at the thanksgiving dinner organized to celebrate the feat, Chief Ade.Ojo said that it was unusual for universities to have full accreditation for all its programmes presented for the exercise at the first attempt.

He described the full accreditation status given the programmes as evidence of the University’s strict adherence to the Basic Minimum Academic Standard (BMAS) of the Commission. Chief Ade.Ojo stated that the successful outing of the Institution in the accreditation exercise was the right step in the actualization of his dream of establishing a world-class university.

The Founder thanked members of staff for working in unity with the Management of the University in the direction of his vision. He added that the combined contribution of all the staff led to the success recorded in the exercise.

Also speaking, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kunle Oloyede said that the full accreditation given the programmes was a fulfillment of the promise of the University to do things right. While saying that failure was not an option for the University, Prof. Oloyede promised to lead the University to the vision of the Founder.

He commended members of staff for their support and contribution to the success of the accreditation exercise. Prof. Oloyede, however, enjoined them to brace up for the visit of the NUC’s accreditation teams for Engineering and other programmes that will be due for accreditation later this year.

The programmes that received full accreditation include; Computer Science and Microbiology, in the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences, English and History and Diplomatic Studies, in the Faculty of  Humanities, and Accounting,  Business Administration,  Human Resource Management and Banking and Finance, in the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences.
