Coulomb’s law, electric potential; potential due to a distribution of charges, electric potential due to a dipole, earth’s potential, equipotential surfaces, electric properties of materials. Gauss’s law. Laplace’s equation and boundary value problems; multiple expansions, dielectric and magnetic materials. Faraday’s law. Motional emf, electromagnetic induction, Biot-Savart law, Ampere’s law. Energy in magnetic Fields.
