The Vice-Chancellor of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, Prof. Olukayode Amund has lauded the legal profession, describing it as a profession of wisdom where orderliness and high integrity are prioritized.
Prof. Amund said this while inaugurating the Executive of the Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN), Elizade University chapter. The Vice-Chancellor, who reiterated the importance of legal profession to the survival of human race, called on legal practitioners to apply their knowledge in an appropriate manner.
He congratulated the executive for their selection to serve their colleagues, the Faculty and the University. Prof. Amund admonished them to use the opportunity of their selection to move the association forward. The Don also advised them to carry their colleagues along in the scheme of things in the Association. He promised the continued support of the University to them.
In his acceptance speech, the President of the Association, Mr. Taiwo Oluwole appreciated the Managements of the Faculty and the University for the trust reposed in him to steer the affairs of the association for the next one year.
He assured that his administration would organize programmes that would benefit members of the Association academically and professionally. Mr. Taiwo solicited the support of the members, saying the executive could not do it alone.
