Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Sciences

Faculty of Engineering, Elizade University was established in the year 2014 shortly after the take-off of the university in 2012.  The faculty was set up to be a knowledge based centre of excellence for engineering and technology innovation with research oriented and entrepreneurial creative ideas. The Faculty was established with the idealogy of the university that emphasizes learning, research and development. The Faculty of Engineering since inception had the aim of developing Engineering Technology programmes  in line with the national planning objectives and manpower needs.

Faculty of Engineering takes on the foremost responsibility of imparting adequate and requisite knowledge to her students for global competitiveness and better career developments. 

Faculty of Engineering, Elizade  University has the mandate to run programme of courses in Engineering and Technology with a mission to produce graduates with research – oriented innovative ability, capable of applying logical analysis to produce entrepreneurial creative ideas in solving local and international challenges.

The aim and objectives of Faculty of Engineering derives from the philosophy, vision and misson statements of the University, which among other ideologies can be summarized  as follows :

1. To provide quality education to students through teaching , research and practical exposure with high intellectual attainment.
2. To produce graduates of international standards and high research – orientation, with global competitiveness and relevance.
3. To produce graduates that shall be self reliant with innovative and creative mind for entrepreneurial skills for sustainable development.
4. To produce graduates with research  orientation, and prepare them for postgraduate studies and professional practice in Engineering and Technology for national development.
5. To train engineering graduates that will grow professionally and meet up with the challenges of national and international developments.
6. To engage in research activities, design and technical know – howfor the development of local and national industries to assist industrialization nation – wide.
7.  To ensure continuous professional development in engineering practice through active participation in the programmes and activities of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, - ( COREN ) with strict adherence to the regulation of the Council, and that of the Nigerian Society of Engineers – ( NSE ).

Engineering is a noble and highly lucrative profession with several employment opportunities for her graduates. Engineering programs offer several outlet opportunities with each programme having several disciplines with several job opportunities to absorb engineering graduates.  Job opportunities with career prospects and developments are available in various disciplines and sub-disciplines of each engineering programme, but that are too numerous to mention here. However, graduates of our various programmes – Automotive engineering, civil engineering, electrical / electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, as well as information and communication engineering are readily employable in firms and industries, public services, academia – higher institutions as well as private sectors.  

It is cheering to note that Faculty of Engineering , Elizade University had produced graduates of great repute who have competitively found themselves into lucrative job markets that have given Elizade University good employers’ rating, and made us stand out well among equals in the private Universities, and even comparable with public Universities. Of good note is that many of our graduates have launched themselves into postgraduate studies for higher degrees locally and internationally for quest of attainment of academic excellence.
