The philosophy of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences stems from the preferred preventive health care model, which recognizes that efforts to improve population health must address all factors affecting health, including socioeconomic conditions, environmental influences on human health, and human behavior. This goes beyond the treatment of diseases and thus encompasses a team of excellent and experienced personnel working together in understanding the human body structure and functions, early detection and testing of diseases and lastly in prevention and care.

The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences is one of the five faculties that make up Elizade University Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, Nigeria. The faculty contains a number of departments offering various Health Sciences and Allied Health Sciences courses. These include; Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Human Anatomy, and Physiology.
The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences emanated from the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences in 2023, with two (2) existing departments namely; Nursing Science and Medical Laboratory Science with Full NUC and Council accreditations.
Additionally, two (2) new departments namely; Human Anatomy, and Physiology were added after a successful Resource Verification exercise in August, 2023.
The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of Elizade University was established to facilitate training of special healthcare personnel specifically to meet the health system manpower needs of Nigeria, and the world in general. Also, to globally promote and enhance quality, innovative and entrepreneurial diagnostic and healthcare delivery education.
Our main prospect is to ensure that our research and education activities are mapped onto national and international research priorities, maintaining global competitiveness.
