Dr. Dada Joseph Babatunde obtained his B.Sc. degree in Physics with Electronics from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye Ogun State, in 2008. He earned his Master’s degree (M.Tech.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Communication Physics in 2014 and 2021, respectively, from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondp State, Nigeria. Dr. Dada’s research areas cut across communication physics, atmospheric physics, and climate science. His research ventures into exploiting atmospheric parameters and oceanic indices in various innovative applications in radio communication systems. Dr. Dada is currently a lecturer at the Department of Physical and Chemical Sciences in the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences, Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, Nigeria. Driven by his passion for instrumentation physics, he designed and constructed several electronic devices using a microcontroller with an embedded system. Among the several electronic devices are the Air Quality Monitor (for measuring and monitoring the quality of several gases in the air), Automatic Hand Watch Sanitizer (to fight COVID ‘19), Automatic Water Level Control (to regulate the in and out flow of water from a tank), Smart Power Metering System (for measuring electric power consumed at various houses), and Automatic Spray Pyrolysis Machine (for chemical deposition on a glass slide). Contact tracing device (a smart bracelet to measure body temperature and heart beat rate in real time). Dr. Dada had trained several students, both in physics theory, practical classes, and electronics classes, across all levels of the university.
