As part of its ongoing community service, the Department of Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) at Elizade University organized an engaging inter-school quiz competition centered on Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The event, held on December 4th, 2024, brought together secondary school students from the Ilara-Mokin community. The aim was to promote awareness about the field of Information and Communication Engineering while also encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills of pre-university students. Three schools participated in the competition: Community Comprehensive High School, Holad High School, and Queen and Crown Schools. The quiz featured thought-provoking questions centered around mathematics, ICT concepts and current trends in the digital world, challenging students to think quickly, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate their knowledge under pressure. After a keenly contested series of rounds, Queen and Crown Secondary School emerged as the overall winner, taking first place with an outstanding performance. The event not only provided a healthy competitive platform for the students but also served as an eye-opener to the exciting world of ICT and its potential career paths. The ICE department is proud to have hosted this initiative and remains committed to empowering the younger generation through meaningful outreach and educational programmes.
