On the 4th of December 2024, students from the Department of Information and Communication Engineering (ICE), Elizade University, embarked on an educational excursion to Adaba FM Radio Station in Akure. The visit offered the students an exciting opportunity to witness firsthand the practical operations behind radio broadcasting - a core aspect of communication systems. During the tour, the students were taken through various units of the station, including the live studio, newsroom, transmission room, and other technical sections that keep the station running. Each unit’s function was clearly explained, giving the students valuable exposure to real-world applications of the concepts they learn in class. The excursion was both insightful and enriching, allowing students to bridge the gap between theory and practice, especially in areas like signal processing, transmission systems, and media technology, all of which are essential components of Information and Communication Engineering.
